Products Discussion Panel
The “Counterfeit Electrical Products: Are You Liable?” panel discussion took place Oct. 6, 2008, at the NECA Show in Chicago. The panel was moderated by John Maisel, publisher of ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR magazine, and on the panel were Kevin Yates, vice president of Siemens Energy & Automation, Residential Products Division; Stephen Litchfield, assistant general counsel, Square D/Schneider Electric; Bob Crane, lead enforcement specialist, Underwriters Laboratories; and William J. Ferguson, vice president of administration and general counsel for Babcock Power Inc.
The panel discussion was a kick-off for the Anti-Counterfeit Initiative, a joint-campaign between ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR and TED magazines. The initiative is sponsored by Siemens, Square D/Schneider Electric, Alcan, Fluke, Graybar, Eaton, Southwire, NSi and GE. It's endorsed by NAED, NECA, NEMA and Underwriters Laboratory.
